Cities are continuously facing new obstacles, whether it is streamlining traffic, creating cost savings or improving sustainability. As these day-to-day challenges evolve, new solutions and technological advancements are needed to improve resident experiences and drive results for cities never possible before.
In this presentation, TJ Costello, Cisco America’s Smart Cities and Internet of Things Director, will explore how smart cities can provide new, innovative opportunities for the ever changing needs of communities. By incorporating connected solutions, cities are able to achieve urban resiliency—the idea that cities must maintain the capability to adapt to changing conditions into the future.
Using real-life examples from active smart cities deployments, TJ will explain some of the new problems cities are faced with, what types of connected solutions are being used to address these and what real-life results can be achieved with thoughtful implementation.
